The house that Reencontro built
While many Maputo orphans live in windowless cinderblock shacks covered by only metal corrugated panels, others benefit from better accommodations. In this view of one of the rooms at Ana's house, household items are arranged at a table. Reencontro built the home that Ana now lives in for $6,000. In addition to providing a building with more structural integrity, the house is a step up from substandard shack living as the rooms are notably larger, more spacious, and have large windows to let in sunlight.
